Video: Race and Pathways to Employment

Friday October 4 2024 • 10:01am - 10:01am ET

Food trucks staffed with youth returning from prison. Bakers staffed with immigrant women. Green building projects staffed with underemployed workers from vulnerable populations.

For the final installment of our four-part live event series, hear from social entrepreneurs who are creating new and innovative pathways to employment right here in New York City. Hosted by WNYC’s Jami Floyd.

During this event, we’ll hear from the speakers about why they couldn’t ignore this problem, and how they got the inspiration for their big, bold solution. Each solution and each social entrepreneur comes at the problem from a different angle. Hear them in conversation about how to have the biggest impact, and how you can challenge yourself to develop your own ideas and commitments to action.
