Affectionately titled after the nonverbal cue many Black folks use to indicate acceptance or acknowledgement, Gimlet Media’s new podcast series, The Nod, affirms the Black experience by presenting specific stories that are fun, introspective and personal to Black listeners.
In advance of the show’s premiere, co-hosts and best friends Brittany Luse (For Colored Nerds, Sampler) and Eric Eddings (For Colored Nerds, Mogul) brought together some of the biggest influencers in Black media and culture for this launch celebration event.
They were joined by digital strategist and freelance journalist Aminatou Sow of Call Your Girlfriend podcast and staff writer at The New Yorker, Vinson Cunningham.
