On March 21, WQXR presented the award-winning Chiara String Quartet in a concert performed completely by heart and without relying on any printed sheet music.
The quartet is about to release a new album including the first three string quartets of Brahms, all recorded entirely from memory. The dynamic quartet visited The Greene Space for an exclusive evening of music and conversation, discussing their latest feat and, for the first time in New York City, performing music of Ravel, Bartok and Brahms – the beautiful Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 51 No. 2 – all from memory.
