The Bailen Brothers have been dubbed one of the top indie discoveries of the CMJ music festival, their brass section described as flawless and their their two-part vocal harmonies rivaling those of Simon & Garfunkel.
And with songs like “Girls on Bikes are Hot,” they also have a sense of humor. Made up of songwriting twin duo David and Daniel Bailen, the brothers got their start as soloists of the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Choir and made their television debut on Nickelodeon. All grown up, their band has been playing the New York club scene since 2007 and were contestants in The Greene Space’s 2012 Manhattan Battle of the Boroughs.
They’ll be returning to the stage on July 17, 2013, providing the soundtrack to our annual Craft Beer Jam.
In the meantime, watch their 2012 Battle of the Boroughs performance above.
