Muslim/American: Storytelling
Muslim/American
Aladdin Ullah live in The Greene Space
Our Muslim/American series continued May 28 with a night of storytelling focused on the geographical and spiritual journeys that modern day Muslim Americans take to better understand their faith.
Author Sadia Shepard (The Girl from Foreign: A Memoir), comedian and performer Aladdin Ullah and author Kenan Trebincevic (The Bosnia List) read from their works and discussed the great distances they’ve traveled in order to find their own personal definitions of what it means to be Muslim American. WNYC producer and book critic Mythili Rao hosted.
