How are African American men driving fashion trends on a global scale? In the next installment of our Micropolis Live series, hosts Arun Venugopal and Jenna Flanagan talked about the ways in which black men’s style has historically intersected with music, politics, cultural expression and ideas about masculinity.

Joining the discussion were music executive Hollis King, who is currently engaged in a street photography project in Harlem; the legendary Dapper Dan of Harlem and CNN commentator, writer, and editorial manager of BET Networks, Michaela Angela Davis.
