“The details he uncovers — and, at the end of each episode, sets to music in an original song inspired by the couple — quietly reflect the irreducible mysteries of human intimacy.”
– Reggie Ugwu for The New York Times
Join audio producer Ian Coss for an evening of stories and songs about the meaning of lifetime commitment, drawn from the acclaimed podcast series Forever is a Long Time.
Eight years ago when Ian decided to get married, every living member of his family who had ever been married — parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles — had also gotten divorced. By interviewing those relatives and learning their stories, he sought clues for understanding his own relationship. Now for the first time, Ian brings those stories to the stage along with rich visuals, live music and sound design.
Forever is a Long Time was named one of the best podcasts of 2021 by The New Yorker, NY Times, The Atlantic, Apple Podcasts, Financial Times, and the Bello Collective.
