The original Primus lineup of Les Claypool, Larry LaLonde, and Tim “Herb” Alexander is readying the release of Primus & The Chocolate Factory — a reimagining of the score to the classic 1971 Mel Stuart film Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. Claypool describes the new tunes as sounding like “one of the early Peter Gabriel records meets Dark Side of the Moon meets the Residents.”
On the eve of Halloween, join Soundcheck and Primus live in The Greene Space for a special early afternoon performance of the new songs before the band takes them to the stage at the Beacon Theater for a sold-out show the following night. This intimate performance will be recorded for an upcoming Soundcheck episode.
Don’t forget to come in your best Wonka-inspired costume!
