For the fifth year in a row, Mayor Michael Bloomberg designated July Good Beer Month in New York City. Here in The Greene Space, we toasted the month with Craft Beer Jam – our annual beer-focused conversation, consumption and celebration series featuring live local music. The events were hosted by Jimmy Carbone of the internet radio show “Beer Sessions Radio” and co-founder of The Good Beer Seal.
Guests tasted a host of beers with snacks from a few of the top Good Beer Seal bars in the city. Some lucky audience members tasted selections from the panelists’ stashes of hard-to-get brews, too. Limited tasting beers included bottles of The Alchemist’s Heady Topper IPA, Founders’ Kentucky Bourbon Stout, Ballast Point’s Sculpin IPA, as well as brews from Allagash, Three Floyds, Surly, Firestone Walker and Green Flash.
