Education is the single biggest indicator of employment and economic status in the United States. Hear our panel of social entrepreneurs describe how they are trying to expand educational opportunities beyond the school building and into the communities that need them most.
We’ll find out why our guests couldn’t ignore the problems they saw, and how they are working to address them. Each of our social entrepreneurs comes to this complex issue with a different perspective – and a different solution. Hear them discuss what they’ve discovered about how to create change and empower people – and how you can challenge yourself and commit to finding ways to take action. WNYC’s Jami Floyd hosts James Monteiro is founder and director of Reentry Campus, Quardean Lewis-Allen is founder of Made in Brownsville and Yscaira Jimenez is founder and CEO of LaborX.
