Overview
Voting matters. And so does the way we engage in our city every other day of the year.
On the eve of Election Day, join WNYC in The Greene Space to get inspired and find ways to volunteer and step up in your community, on your own terms. Maybe even share a beer or two with us.
This is your opportunity to meet some of the people and community organizations working to make our city a stronger, safer, more equitable home for all New Yorkers.

Joining us will be the newly appointed Chief Democracy Officer, Ayirini Fonseca-Sabune, and Ben Yee, State Committeeman for New York’s Assembly District 66.
Representatives from organizations including Immigrant Families Together, Participatory Budgeting Project, Refugees Welcome to Dinner, Future Now, Coalition for the Homeless, 22×20 and Good Call NYC will share their work and answer your 1:1 questions about how to get engaged.
Hosted by WNYC reporters Shumita Basu and Yasmeen Khan, the evening will include plenty of time for you to mingle with all the participants before you head home.
