Overview
Join us in celebrating New York’s classical radio station, WQXR, and honor Bob Sherman, longtime host of the The Listening Room, Young Artists Showcase–which celebrates its 44th anniversary this year!–among many others. Bob has had a tremendous influence on generations of artists and hosts. We’re delighted to honor Bob’s legacy with a star-studded performance, featuring performances by pianist Emanuel Ax, violinist Joshua Bell, The Emerson String Quartet, violinist Chee-Yun Kim, pianist Charlie Albright, violinist Ani Kavafian, and pianist Ursula Oppens.
This special evening is a benefit concert specifically supporting WQXR. All $500 ticket sales help us raise critical funds to keep classical music thriving on our airwaves, and support our efforts to sustain New York’s vibrant cultural community.
