The Great Russian Piano Tradition is a new radio series dedicated to Russian composers and performers, and in this companion event, scholar David Dubal traces the history of piano music in Russia with a special focus on the four pillars of the Russian piano literature: Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Rachmaninoff and Scriabin. 

A longtime favorite of WQXR’s audiences, Dubal is an acknowledged authority on the piano, and his insights and observations are celebrated around the world. 

Join us for a very special event celebrating the mighty Russian piano tradition, featuring performances by the exceptionally accomplished young pianists Bang-Shyan Chen, Rexa Han, Giuseppe Mentuccia, Dmitri Shelest, and Jun Sun.
