Overview
Join us for a live broadcast of WNYC’s Peabody Award-winning radio show in which Brian will take questions from callers and the audience at The Greene Space.
Guests include:
Julie Menin, the media and entertainment commissioner for New York City, and authors Jennifer Egan, Esmeralda Santiago, Imbolo Mbue and Hari Kunzru — plus Academy Award winner Barry Jenkins (“Moonlight”) by phone. They’ll join us to talk about “One Book, One New York,” a city-wide project where New Yorkers will read the same book at the same time. Right now, we’re in the voting period where New Yorkers are choosing the book from five, all about different local neighborhoods. (Jenkins will be calling in to rep James Baldwin.)
Jonathan Lemire, White House reporter for the Associated Press and political analyst for MSNBC/NBC News, talks about the latest national political news of the day.
Lizz Winstead, comedian, writer, co-creator of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” and founder of Lady Parts Justice League, offers political commentary and gives her comedic take on the news.
