Overview
While Blacks and Latinos earn nearly 18 percent of computer science bachelor’s degrees, they make up only around 5 percent of the technical workforce at top tech companies.
Join us as we launch this four-event series as we hear from social entrepreneurs who aren’t buying the tech industry’s excuses for the diversity gap — and are instead hacking the culture of tech. Hosted by WNYC’s Jami Floyd.
During this event, we’ll hear from the speakers about why they couldn’t ignore this problem, and how they got the inspiration for their big, bold solution. Each solution and each social entrepreneur comes at the problem from a different angle. Hear them in conversation about how to have the biggest impact, and how you can challenge yourself to develop your own ideas and commitments to action.
