Prince So Cool, Ain’t Nobody Bad Like Him

Tuesday May 17 2016 • 7:00pm - 9:00pm ET
In-person event

Overview

Prince transformed how we understand music. A musical genius and iconic artist, he transcended boundaries of genre, gender, race, fashion, and culture. It’s hard to find any artist or music fan who wasn’t influenced by His Royal Badness.

Join Touréauthor of “I Would Die 4 U: Why Prince Became An Icon,” CNN commentator and image activist Michaela Angela Davis, music critic and Burnt Sugar Arkestra founder Greg Tate and lead guitarist, songwriter and founder of Living Colour Vernon Reid as we remember an artist who did not shy away from controversy, contradictions and constant surprises during a career of more than 35 years.

Produced and hosted by Warrington Hudlin, president of the Black Filmmaker Foundation.

Afterward, a DJ will help us celebrate some of his biggest, baddest hits.
