New Voices in the American Theatre

In partnership with TCG

Monday October 24 2011 • 7:00pm - 7:00pm ET
In-person event

Overview

In celebration of Theatre Communication Group’s 50th anniversary, the national organization for American theatre, The Greene Space at WNYC and WQXR will present four events featuring conversations with TCG playwrights.  The evenings will be part of The Greene Space initiative “A New Theatre of Sound” series.

The first event, on October 24, brought together new voices in the American theatre:

David Adjmi (Stunning and Other Plays)

Young Jean Lee (Songs of the Dragons Flying to Heaven and Other Plays and The Shipment/LEAR)

Tarell Alvin McCraney (The Brother/Sister Plays)

Each read selections from their work with a conversation moderated by Time Out New York theater editor, David Cote. The evening  concluded with the playwrights signing copies of their work.
