In-person event

Overview

Watch live! The event is sold out, but you can watch our video webcast below at 7pm:

Three-time James Beard Award winner Leonard Lopate has assembled a panel of service professionals from New York City restaurants, including father and son team from iconic Upper East Side restaurant Daniel, Bernard Vrod, floor maître d’ and captain, and Yannick Vrod, floor maître d’. They’ll give us their inside tips on dining etiquette, dinner date mistakes, the truth about tipping, ways to land a great table without a reservation, and how to get treated like a regular even if you’re not. Of course, they might have a bit of gourmet gossip to dish as well.

After they’ve answered everything you’ve ever wanted to know about life on the other side of the dining experience, they’ll teach you how to be a better host to your own guests during a demo about serving wine, carving meat, and more.

Food provided by Jimmy’s No. 43, Martin’s Pretzels, and Jasper Hill Farm
