Dubbed “the hottest artist on the classical music planet” by The New York Times, the pianist Lang Lang has reached a level of stardom rarely generated in classical music.
He’s known for his showmanship and charm, but when he traveled at age 11 from China to Germany for the International Competition for Young Pianists, it was raw talent that won him first prize.
Lang Lang’s charisma and musicianship alike will be on full display at this live taping of Alec Baldwin’s podcast, Here’s the Thing. He’ll share stories from his childhood in northeastern China and from his wild success on the world stage — and he will perform some of the music that’s most meaningful to him.
