Classical Beer Jam: Mainly Mozart

Friday May 18 2018 • 7:00pm - 8:30pm ET
In-person event

Overview

Join us for an unforgettable evening of classical music paired with delicious local brews as WQXR launches a new monthly variety series. The shows bring live performances, conversation, beer tastings, games and trivia all together in WQXR’s living room, The Greene Space.

For the next installment, we’re calling the show “Mainly Mozart,” since we’ll have lots of music and stories about ol’ Wolfgang. Our performers will include the amazingly virtuosic pianist Xiayin Wang; the classical cover collective JHM JamsOn Site Opera, featuring Kristin Gornstein (mezzo) and Spencer Viator (tenor); and the Long Island Vegetable Orchestra. You read that right: a band that plays vegetables. For real.

All the beer that night will come from our friends at SingleCut Beersmiths in Queens.

WQXR’s Matt Abramovitz hosts.
