The Greene Space has partnered with Theatre Communications Group to present TCG Playwrights in Conversation.
An Evening with Nilo Cruz featured the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Anna in the Tropics reading selections from his work, along with a conversation with Janice Paran, an Artistic Associate of the Sundance Institute Theatre Program. Joining Mr. Cruz was Vanessa Aspillaga from the Broadway cast of Anna in the Tropics, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Tony Award nominee for Anna in the Tropics and Rent, and Hannia Guillén and Ed Trucco from Repertorio Español’s current production of Cruz’s El Color del Deseo (The Color of Desire). Other works by Nilo Cruz include Beauty of the Father, Two Sisters and a Piano, Lorca in a Green Dress, Night Train to Bolina, A Bicycle Country, Dancing on Her Knees and Hurricane.
