Lang Lang performs live in The Greene Space
Piano superstar Lang Lang made a welcome return to The Greene Space on October 23 to showcase the talents of young musicians from his Lang Lang International Music Foundation, dedicated to the furthering of music education.
A sold-out audience enjoyed solo performances and duets of music by Mozart, Khatchaturian, Dvořák and more, performed by Lang Lang and five Young Scholars of the foundation — exceptional young pianists up to age 16.
WQXR’s Elliott Forrest also sat down with Lang Lang to talk about his work as a United Nations Messenger of Peace on the eve of his UN Day Concert at the General Assembly with an orchestra of young musicians from around the world.
