WQXR Presents ‘An American in Paris’ Preview
An American in Paris cast members perform in The Greene Space
The romantic story of a young American soldier, a beautiful French girl and an indomitable European city, each yearning for a new beginning in the aftermath of war, is the stuff of Broadway dreams. This new Broadway musical, following its sold out tryout at Paris’ legendary Théâtre du Châlelet, arrives at the Palace Theatre on March 13.
Acclaimed choreographer Christopher Wheeldon, who directs a company of international and Broadway virtuosos; Rob Fisher, the production’s musical score adapter; and Stuart Oken, lead producer of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS joined host Elliott Forrest in The Greene Space for an exclusive preview ahead of the show’s New York premiere.
