Twenty years ago, five men who were wrongfully convicted of a violent assault in Central Park in 1989 were exonerated of charges brought against them as children. To mark the anniversary of that court decision, the Innocence Project presents “Twenty Years Since Exoneration” at The Greene Space. Guests will attend an audience-led conversation with Kevin Richardson and Raymond Santana, members of the Central Park “Exonerated Five,” and a live-stream of WNYC’s Notes from America with Kai Wright.
This event builds a conversation around how this case has affected the “Exonerated Five” specifically and about wrongful convictions in the U.S. more broadly.
Program
Live Q&A and Notes From America with Kai Wright stream portion start at 6:00 p.m. EST
Note: Seating and space may be limited and will be available to attendees on a first come first served basis.
