As part of the New York Comedy Festival, comedian Sara Schaefer joined us for a live taping of her new WNYC podcast, LIES, with guest Mike Doughty, the singer-songwriter, author and former frontman of Soul Coughing.
On LIES, Schaefer demands something different from her guests: everything they say has to be a lie. The only true thing you’ll hear in each episode is Sara’s description of her guest. Everything else is totally fake, and totally improvised. In a world over-saturated with confessional-style podcasts, LIES finally gives public figures a chance to reveal absolutely nothing…and perhaps everything at the same time.
