Overview
The Brian Lehrer Show will convene a panel of political analysts to go beyond the day-to-day happenings at Zuccotti Park to discuss the larger issues raised by the Occupy Wall Street movement.
From 10-11am, former New York State Governor ELIOT SPITZER, GREG DAVID, contributor to Crain’s New York Business, KATHRYN WYLDE, president & CEO of the Partnership for New York City and JESSE LAGRECA of #occupywallstreet and the Daily Kos will join Lehrer to discuss topics including trends in income inequality, regulation of the banking industry, the current unemployment rates, and the contributions made by investment banking to the economic life of New York City and the nation, among others.
From 11am-noon, the show will host the non-partisan Campaign Finance Board’s Voter Assistance Advisory Committee’s brainstorm session on how to turn around the city’s low voter turnout. Panelists will include representatives from get-the-vote-out groups and political strategists. Audience members, listeners, tweeters and Facebook fans will be encouraged to participate in the discussion.
