Jonathan Alter, MSNBC analyst, co-host of Sirius XM’s Alter Family Politics, and Daily Beast columnist, talks about the new HBO documentary he co-directed and co-produced, called “Breslin and Hamill: Deadline Artists.” The documentary celebrates the two legendary New York journalists – plus he’ll talk about the national political news of the day.

A ‘Good’ School is a Diverse School

Mayor de Blasio commissioned a panel to make recommendations on how to better integrate New York City’s highly segregated public schools. Brian talks about how the group is advising the city to tackle segregation with WNYC education reporter Jessica GouldMatt Gonzales, director of the school diversity project at New York Appleseed; and Frantzy Luzincourt, a City College student, chief of staff of IntegrateNYC and member of the New York City School Diversity Advisory Group.

Mo Rocca, correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning and panelist on NPR’s Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, talks about his new podcast Mobituaries. The podcast explores the history of people (and things) who might have disappeared from view, but continue to intrigue him, including entertainers like Vaughn Meader and…the station wagon.
